Welcome to Westenders Football Club
At the heart of Westenders lies a strong sense of unity, inclusion, and community spirit. We believe in the power of teamwork – on and off the pitch – and strive to create an environment where every player supports one another and grows together.
Westenders began with one passionate coach and a single small team in Flamstead Village. As the team developed, so did the Club. Today, we’re proud to support multiple boys’ and girls’ teams, welcoming players from Flamstead, Markyate, and surrounding local villages—and we’re still growing!
We cater to all age groups, from our youngest “Westies” (ages 4–5) to our U14 teams. All teams train weekly throughout the year and compete in league football on Saturdays. For those new to football or still building their confidence, we offer development pathways to help players grow and prepare for competitive fixtures at their own pace. Our committed, passionate coaches are dedicated to nurturing every player’s potential, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and – most importantly – enjoyment of the game.
We do expect commitment and effort from our players and we also believe in teaching core values that extend beyond football. Inclusion, respect, and responsibility are central to everything we do, ensuring our players represent themselves and the Club with pride. Westenders continues to expand, and we’re incredibly proud of the young athletes we’re helping to shape – both as footballers and as individuals.
